NewsMore talent added to Liverpool festivalWith only 7 weeks to go until the UK?s biggest indoor winter music event returns to Liverpool, more acts have been confirmed for this years 11 day Liverpool Music Week festival. Grammy nominated 'Clinic' will perform in Liverpool for the first time in many years. The four piece who are currently on tour supporting Arcade Fire are a band renowned for shirking the music industry limelight but they captivated audiences during their recent Beatlesque performance on America?s David Letterman Show. They will be performing at Zanzibar on the opening weekend of the festival. Electronic music lovers should head up to Korova where headline artists Chromeo, David E Sugar, The Ting Tings and Crystal Castles all play live during the week which sees the venue?s main club night Evol?s 4th Birthday. Plus, just confirmed to an already fantastic line-up is Kissy Sell Out. This year?s line up includes: Kaiser Chiefs Hard-Fi Madness The Chemical Brothers Pendulum Good Shoes The Bees Simian Mobile Disco (Live) Lightspeed Champion New Young Pony Club Candie Payne The Rascals James Yorkston Friendly Fires Dan le Sac v Scroobius Pip The National To Open For Arcade Fire Brooklyn-via-Ohio outfit the National has been announced as the openers for the first part of the Arcade Fire's North American tour. Both bands are currently pressing new albums, The National with The Boxer (Beggars Banquet), and the Arcade Fire with Neon Bible (Merge), the latter of which, as previously reported, opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 upon its release.
